Electric cars that drive themselves. Food delivered to you at the tap of a finger. Booking a flight to outer space. Solar energy.

This isn’t the Jetsons, this is the world we live in today! Solar energy has surged in adoption over the past decade, with the price of solar PV panels falling 70% since 2014. Models project that by 2030, nearly one in seven U.S. homes will be powered by solar. Currently, around 3.5% of commercial buildings have solar panels, and an additional 1% use solar energy that is supplied from an offsite source.

TL;DR: Solar energy is big and getting bigger. The RF Solar Combiner Box is a great product for bringing multiple strings together in both residential and commercial settings.

What is a solar combiner box?

In a solar combiner box, each string conductor lands on a fuse terminal. Then, the output of the fused inputs get combined into a single conductor that connects to the inverter. The inverter is what converts the DC power from the solar source into AC power for use in buildings.

RF Solar Combiner Box: Product Features

RF Solar Combiner Boxes support the combination of up to 3, 4, 6, 8 or 12 strings. RF-3, 4, 6 are ungrounded while RF-8 and 12 are grounded. In ungrounded combiner boxes, fuses are provided for both the positives and negatives. Housed in a fiberglass enclosure, the combiner boxes offer unparalleled protection against exterior elements. The oversized busbars reduce losses and offer improved efficiency for connections.

Mountable on solar rail using brackets, the RF Solar Combiner Box works with grounded string inverters and its fiberglass enclosure has a 20-year usable outdoor life.
