Projects Team Customer Service

Job Description

Primarily responsible for the logistical tracking of orders, following up and communicating with vendors and customers regarding order statuses.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist placing orders on lighting for commercial jobs
  • Follow-up and track shipments
  • Send updates to customers and call customers when material arrives
  • Manage the logistics of when material is delivered to customers
  • Assemble submittal packages for customers to review
  • Handle warranties, defective product, and all other return material; coordinate with manufacturer and customer
  • Compile O&M (Operations and Maintenance Manuals) for customers
  • Handle occasional quotes when needed
  • Manage Team Inbox and Requests
  • Other tasks as assigned by Lighting Team Manager


  • Exhibit a positive, friendly, timely and helpful attitude with customers and be sensitive to

their needs

  • Creating rapport and maintaining relationships with manufacturers, customers, and internal team
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to change direction when higher priorities arise
  • Communicate effectively to customers, employees, and manufacturers.
  • Assess & respond to customer needs
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks
  • Use sound judgment, active listening, and problem-solving skills to analyze customer

problems and to recommend the proper course of action

  • Willingness to gain product and application knowledge
  • PC proficiency for quoting, tracking, and handling warranty issues
  • Operating knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook


  • High school diploma required, and minimum 2 years related experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Eclipse software
  • Bachelor’s Degree OR Associates Degree with 4 years related experience
